The child attempted the Guinness World Records in Accra between January 18 and January 20, 2024.
During a press conference on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, it was revealed that “We are excited to announce that your application for the Youngest Male Artist title has been approved, making you the Guinness World Records Title Holder!” stated the confirmation letter.
Chantelle Eghan, Ace Liam’s mother, expressed her appreciation to Ghanaians for their support during her son’s record-breaking attempt.
Little Liam commenced his pursuit of the World Record on Friday, December 18, at the Museum of Science and Technology, where he demonstrated his artistic skills.
During an interview with Accra-based Joy News, the proud mother discussed her son’s artistic journey, stating, “He has been painting since he was six months old, and this will be his 13th painting. Behind-the-scenes footage of his creative process will be shared on his social media platforms.”
Clarifying the criteria for the Guinness World Record attempt, she explained, “For his category, there are specific requirements. He must participate in an exhibition, generate sales, and furnish evidence of the event, including media coverage and social media accounts. If the artwork isn’t sold, he won’t meet the qualifications.”
Dante Lamb, the previous record holder, accomplished this feat at the age of three in 2003.
