The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP Timfon John, stated that the Commissioner of Police, Ayilara Waheed Adedamola, along with other Service Commanders and the Commissioner for Internal Security, have traveled to Mbo local council to assess the situation.She said, “I can confirm that CP and other Service Commanders & Commissioner for Internal Security were there.”However, this abduction comes just days after medical doctors went on strike over the kidnapping of their colleague, Dr. John Robbin Esu, who remains in captivity nearly three weeks later. Additionally, just last week, the wife of Chief Asukwo Eweme Ulap Okon, also known as Levile, a prominent political figure, was abducted in Oron.
