The Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has named Basirat Damilola Marshall, daughter of Fuji music icon, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, popularly known as KWAM1, as his Senior Special Assistant on Tourism.
This announcement was made evident in a viral video where her father expressed gratitude to the governor during his performance at the coronation and birthday reception of Oba Sikirullah Apena. Additionally, congratulatory messages were observed on Basirat Damilola Marshall’s Instagram page, @damimarshall_, as reported by PUNCH Online on Thursday.
In the viral video, KWAM1 acknowledged his daughter, Damilola, for urging him to publicly appreciate Governor Sanwo-Olu for her appointment.
In celebration of her appointment, a Nigerian, Olanrewaju-Smart Wasiu, expressed congratulations to Barr. @damimarshall_ on her new role as the Senior Special Assistant to the Lagos State Governor on Tourism. He acknowledged this as a well-deserved recognition for her dedication and contributions to their party. In response, she graciously thanked him.
Another individual, Balogun Basia, extended congratulations to his friend K1 and the entire family on the appointment of Barrister Basirat Damilola Marshall as the SSA to the Governor of Lagos State on Tourism. He wished Damilola and her siblings an abundance of blessings and success in the future.
Prior to her appointment, Damilola served as a principal partner at the law firm, Damilola Ayinde Marshal and Co.
At the time of this report, attempts to contact Gboyega Akosile, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Lagos State Governor, for confirmation were unsuccessful. Messages sent to his WhatsApp line remained unanswered.
