Renowned Nigerian singer David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, has turned to social media to commemorate his first child, Imade, on her birthday today, May 14.
In a message shared through his Instagram story, the DMW boss assured her of his profound love and pledged to reunite with her soon.
His statement holds significance as his first baby mama and Imade’s mother, Sophia Momodu, has accused him of neglecting his fatherly duties in recent times.
She alleged that she has been solely responsible for raising Imade because Davido reportedly withdrew from his responsibilities when she declined to comply with some of his requests.
Furthermore, she filed a cease and desist letter against the singer and his associates in January 2024, citing allegations of cyberattacks, defamatory statements, and threats directed towards her and her close associates.
he letter emphasized that Davido’s purported actions violated Sophia’s constitutional rights and disregarded basic principles of decency and respect.
Although the singer has not formally responded to Sophia’s multiple allegations, his social media post demonstrates the depth of his affection for his daughter.
Davido shared a photo of Imade along with the caption:
“Happy birthday to my First born child @realimadeadeleke Just know daddy loves you so much! And I will see you soon I promise!”
