The 2024 debut of the Movie in the Park Experience impressed audiences with its All Black edition, showcasing the remarkable Yhemo Lee on May 4th at Muri Okunola Park in Victoria Island, Lagos.It was a perfect evening under the stars, where guests in chic black attire settled on mats and blankets to enjoy the films and mingle with their favorite celebrities.The movie “Hotel Labamba,” with executive production by Laide Daramola and direction by Biodun Stephen, starring Idowu Adeyemi (Yhemo Lee) alongside a talented ensemble cast, was showcased.
After the screening, numerous brands organized raffle draws to award prizes to fortunate attendees. Yhemo Lee, the headline act of the event, addressed the audience, awarded the cash prize for best-dressed to the winner alongside a representative from BangBet, and subsequently commenced the after-party.
Now in its 11th iteration, Movie in the Park has solidified its position as Nigeria’s premier outdoor cinematic event, with organizers committed to continuously elevating the experience. Feyisetan Ajayi, a member of the organizing team, remarked, “With each installment, we challenge ourselves: Can we make it grander? We constantly strive to surpass the previous editions, and remarkably, we always manage to do so,” Ajayi states.
Ihechi Opara, the curator of the event, expressed immense delight at the attendance, stating, “I’m ecstatic about this edition. It marks a phenomenal start to the year, and we’re eagerly anticipating the future collaborations we have in store, particularly for August.”
