Nollywood actress Eniola Ajao has disclosed the reason behind her choice to keep her 21-year-old son, Ayomide Daniel, away from social media.
Ajao explained that this decision was made long before she entered the entertainment industry, aiming to avoid the stigma associated with being a single mother.
“It’s something I decided on a long time ago, even before considering a career in the entertainment industry. When I had him, I was concerned that no man would want to marry me because I had a child, so I opted to keep it private. I chose to keep many aspects of my life, including my son, out of the public eye,” the actress explained in a recent interview with Seun Oloketuyi.
The actress elaborated that she feared disclosing her son could hinder her prospects of finding a partner.
Nonetheless, the movie star noted that she eventually disclosed her son’s existence to the public after being perceived as a “young girl” by her colleagues.
It’s worth noting that Ajao garnered attention when controversial cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, was acclaimed as the ‘best dressed female’ at her recent movie premiere in March.
The backlash from the public compelled the actress to issue a public apology, acknowledging that it was merely a publicity stunt.
